Attention! Your help is desperately needed! According to myfoxphilly.com, the American Red Cross says it is facing a shortage of blood donations this summer. Officials say the busy summer travel season comes with a need for more blood, as there tends to be more accidents this time of year. However, they say fewer people are coming to donate. There is a critical need for O-Negative, A-Negative and B-Negative blood types, as they are the most in demand. A blood drive will be held at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 470 Church Hill Road, Ferndale, on Friday, August 24th from 2:00 –7:00 pm. Please contact Stephen Spry by phone at 267-205-0910 or via email at spryinator@yahoo.com or sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org with sponsor code 02214781. Your generous donation will save lives and is greatly appreciated.
